Though at first glance the artwork seems totally "non-objective", upon closer examination you will see that I am more interested in painting the insides rather than the outsides of an idea. There is always more tasty meat, better flavoring, substance and soul on the inside of an idea. Base and primal dominates this vibe of "so called" false-symmetry, contrapasto, and the funnel shapes in my compositions. |

Trying constantly to create a personal rhythm of three dimensionally textured space on a two dimensional surface. Sculpting a woven nest of images that triggers the imagination as its layers build on an effigy for the spirit. The tools are mixed media. Sometimes using graphite, soft or oil pastel, or acrylic paint can get the intentional desired effect. The surfaces usually worked upon are heavy cold press watercolor paper and masonite board. Cloth, wood, and found objects may sometimes find their way into the compositions and materials used. |
